NONSENSE was created by Sebastien Biola (guitar) in 2012. Simon Digonnet (drums) and Romain Regal (bass) quickly joined the band which found his voice with Olivier Sicaud’s wide vocal range. The song-writing process starts when Raph De Stefano (guitar) steps in and the project slowly turns into a progressive metal band flirting with the djent genre.
A first single « Final Flash » was released in May 2014, which got numerous positive feedbacks from both the media and the audience, enabling the band to open for TEXTURES in Lyon during this same year.
Since then, the band has been taking the time to write this first EP where all their influences, from modern metal to thrash, to progressive metal, the whole thing being very well executed and refreshing, are gathered with power and harmony.

« On Earth » was released on February, 24th 2016 and their release party took place on February, 27th in support of TEXTURES in Lyon (CCO).

C’est en 2012 que Sébastien Biola (guitare) fonde NONSENSE. Simon Digonnet (batterie) et Romain Regal (basse) intègrent rapidement la formation qui trouve sa voix grâce aux capacités vocales variées d’Olivier Sicaud. La composition s’active avec l’arrivée de Raph De Stefano (guitare) et le projet s’oriente vers un death metal progressif flirtant avec le djent.

Un premier single « Final Flash » sort en mai 2014 et permet au groupe de se faire remarquer, tant par le public que la presse, et notamment d’ouvrir pour TEXTURES à Lyon en octobre de la même année.

Depuis le groupe a consacré du temps à l’écriture de ce premier EP « On Earth » où toutes leurs influences allant du metal moderne, au thrash en passant par un metal progressif technique, le tout très bien exécuté, cohabitent avec puissance et harmonie.

Leur EP « On Earth » est sorti le 24 février 2016.
